With a multitude of different new and exciting projects coming up on the horizon, it appears she has a lot of stories left to tell. Now living happily married with her husband and their two sons, she continues to write to this day from her home in Nebraska. Putting her talents to screenwriting now, she has come to be a highly gifted and extremely versatile writer with a flair for character and emotionally engaging narratives. Now in talks with the major film studio Dreamworks who are looking to produce a big-screen adaptation of her young adult novel ‘Eleanor and Park’ she’s come a long way since her early days working at the Omaha World-Herald. Having had a first-hand experience led education in the world of publishing, she clearly knows and understands how it best operates, along with what it is that her readers want and what creates quality engaging content. Following this stint at the publication, she then went on to work for an ad agency, all the while creating what was to be her very first debut novel. This allowed her to apply her craft, as well as create an established name for herself, as she honed and refined her craft, creating the unique voice that her many readers know and love her for to this very day.
Starting out on the Omaha World-Herald where she was an ad copywriter and long-running columnist, she put her talents in writing and English to use straight away, gaining experience on the job between the years of 19.
This was all going to help her in her adult career as a writer, a journey that would take her to becoming a fully fledged author of highly successful novels reaching audiences on a global scale. Creating deep and intricate inner worlds, she always had a strong and complex imagination, whilst simultaneously she was able to easily pinpoint what made people, and ultimately her characters, tick. She knows exactly what her readers are looking for, providing them with characters that are easy to relate to, whilst creating dialogue that’s both natural and flows easily off the page.īorn in 1973 on the 24th of February, Rainbow Rowell grew up in Nebraska, America, as she started to develop a life-long passion for both reading and literature, as she built upon her love for the written word.
